how long does it take(or did it take you) for you to notice benefits from doing aerobic exercise?
This is aside from losing weight. Also, I know you get benefits immediately after doing it but when do you settle in to more general longer term benefits, like improvements in circulation and immunity etc and general fitness. Is it about a month or two? Sorry if this question is too general. btw this is assuming you are doing about 35 -40 minutes aerobic 3-4 days a week (at 55%-85% of maximum heart rate). Any answers would be appreciated.

You could see results in a week’s time. Your cardiovascular fitness will already start improving by then, you’ll be less winded and have more stamina.

It is different for everyone.
I felt more energized in abut 2 weeks of doing aerobics 3 times a week. Downside – this type of exercise made me gain weight. I didn’t loose any fat and gained muscle.
So when you exercise for short period of time (yes, 45 min is short) only 3-4 times a week without change in diet it is possible to gain weight.

I noticed it within about 2 weeks. I have asthma…so any cardio exercises were very difficult for me…literally after 5 minutes I would be gasping for air. However, after 2 weeks times I could see a real difference. My heart was already getting stronger, same with my ability to breath. I was able to increase the amount of time. I can now do easily 2 hours or longer (this is after 5 yrs). After 6-8 mths I was able to do extraneous cardio exercises well over an hour.

Square dancing is aerobic exercise and is a lot of fun and doesn’t feel like exercise, just feels like fun. Dances are usually two hours a night and if you also do the round dancing at the dance, you will be getting even more aerobic exercise and more fun. Find a club near you and take lessons and maybe become a square dance caller and make a lot of money, also. There are square dance cruises, also, and drawings where you could win two thousand dollars on a dollar ticket. And you can dance all over the world because the calls are always in English and never changed to other languages. They even had a square dance on the Great Wall of China. You will notice benefits very soon and lose weight and be in better shape because it is aerobic exercise.
